NETS is New Zealand's national association of Nurse Education in the Tertiary Sector.

We provide leadership and direction on significant national issues relating to nursing education.
Our vision is of excellence in nursing education, so that nurses can meet the health needs of all people in Aotearoa / New Zealand.
NETS would like to publicly commend the tremendous work being done by our colleagues in Christchurch to support both the people of their community and their students. They reflect the characteristics that nurse educationalist and scholar Em Bevis described in 1989 regarding the work of teaching nursing -
“There is a compelling splendour about teaching and nursing that demands the highest forms of endeavour, for their ends are linked to the magnificent miracle of human thought and the quality of human life.” (p.133)
